Do you have a demanding schedule but still want to get involved at SMA? Become an SMA LINK Parent. It's a fun and easy way to welcome new families to our school.
In the fall, the SMA LINK Parent call new parents to answer questions, serve as hosts at the New Parent Social, and welcome prospective families at Open House. In the spring, we call the parents of newly accepted students and greet families at the Welcome Night. You can volunteer as an SMA LINK Parent as much or as little as your schedule allows. It is a great way to meet other SMA parents and provide that warm welcome to others who are just joining the SMA community. We welcome any enthusiastic SMA parent!
A big thank you to the wonderful volunteers who helped us during the morning coffee in September. We are now looking for help for the November 8th Open House, please let us know if you can help. We would love to hear from freshman parents, it's a great way to get to know people!
If you are interested, please e-mail any of us on the SMA LINK Parent Committee.

At Back to School Night, six SMA Ambassadors ably distributed pre-ordered 2009-2010 Student Directories. Thank you, Julia Alvarez-Garza, Maya Booth-Balk, Amalia Centurion, Lauren Fischer, Caitlin Grant, and Amelia Ralston! Thanks, too, to the parents who assisted with quality control in creating the directories: Amy Barrett, Debi Dereiko, Lois Moll, and Susan Pfeffer.
The committee tries to create a document free from errors. But, since we're human, we make mistakes! We apologize for any inaccuracies--please bring them to our attention.
Several boxes of directories remain in the front office. If you ordered one or more, please stop in or ask your daughter(s) to pick up your order. All directories must be picked up in the front office, since the price doesn't include the cost of postage. A small number remain for sale at $20 each on a 'first come, first served' basis. Student Directory Co-chairs, Ann Dow and Lisa Shultz
